Google Apps for Education
The Rye City School District utilizes Google Apps for Education for teachers and students. Google Apps for Education is a suite of productivity and communication applications that allow teachers and students to work in a collaborative environment. These powerful apps include Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms, Classroom, Gmail, and Calendar.
Within the Rye City Google Apps for Education K-12 online domain, our teachers and students collaborate and work in real-time to research, create, store, and share work instantly and securely. Individuals create new documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and forms and communicate with others on a global basis. By integrating this suite, teachers link to their students and provide personalized learning.
The entire platform exists online, meaning that all content is stored in the cloud and can be accessed from any device with an Internet connection. The Rye City Schools have been a Google Apps for Education district for several years, and we intend to continue to grow these teaching and learning tools into our schools each year.
