Our school psychologists provide Rye students with social, emotional, and academic support through individual and group counseling, teacher and parent consultation, as well as acting as liaisons between the school and outside mental health community resources. Part of their role is to take part in a multidisciplinary team and conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations in order to determine eligibility for special education services. The school psychologists serve as the case managers for all students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring that all required services are provided to these students. They also monitor and improve students’ academic and behavioral progress through data analysis and meaningful interventions. Our goal is to help students eliminate or manage social and emotional obstacles that may be preventing them from being successful.
