My name is Rosie Bracciodieta and I am your new Elementary School Counselor at Midland (days 1 & 4), Milton (days 2 & 5), and Osborn (days 3 & 6) Schools. I was raised in Westchester County and graduated from Long Island University with a Master’s Degree in Education in School Counseling where I also became certified in New York State. Prior to coming to Rye, I worked in Brooklyn with students in grades K-4.
According to the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), "The elementary school years set the foundation for developing the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary for children to become healthy, competent and confident learners." I will meet all students in grades K-5 through "Meet the Counselor" lessons during the first couple months of school. Thereafter, I will be delivering counseling class lessons to grades K-2 throughout the year. It is my responsibility to support all students as they grow and develop social and emotional skills to become life-long learners.
I am excited to work with students and their families, faculty, staff, and administration this school year!
