The Rye High School Music Department is committed to the philosophy that all students be afforded the opportunity to develop their capacities for creativity, aesthetic appreciation, and critical reflection through active participation in the musical arts. Our vibrant performance group course offerings include Band, Band Percussion, Orchestra, and Chorus. In Digital Music, students explore music in a largely composition-based setting through the use of current technology.  Extra-curricular offerings include: Jazz Band, Jazz Lab Band, Pep Band, Pit Orchestra, Vocal Ensemble, and Rhythm on Rye. High School students can also participate in one musical theater production.
