International Parents' Group

  • This group is open to all parents and strives to help (international) students and their parents to better understand the curriculum and testing system in the state of New York.

There are two walk-in meetings held during the school year. These meetings are attended by the Principal and (a) Guidance Counselor(s) and are mostly held at the Rye Middle School Multi Purpose Room. These meetings provide an opportunity to ask questions you may have in a smaller and more intimate setting. There are no silly questions. We look forward to see you there!

The first meeting is usually following the grade specific evening meetings with the Principal for 6th, 7th and 8th grade (October). The second meeting is in the spring (March/April). The group may organize additional meetings for parents and/or students with the objective to help families acclimate at the Rye Middle School and its community.

Exact dates and information is communicated via the RMS Garnet News and via our mailing list.
