National Merit Commended Students

National Merit Commended Students
Rye High School has 13 National Merit Scholarship Program Commended Students. Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2026 competition by taking the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test PSAT/NMSQT. Approximately 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation were recognized this year. Commended Students do not continue in the National Merit Scholarship award contest. They receive a Letter of Commendation from the school and the National Merit Scholastic Corporation.
