Congratulations to the Rye High School varsity hockey team, who won the Applebee’s Winter Classic Tournament for the second consecutive year by a decisive score of 4-1 versus Beekmantown. The two-day-long tournament, hosted by the Beekmantown boys hockey team,  is held annually at the Plattsburgh State Field House in Plattsburgh, NY.  This year’s tournament took place Friday and Saturday, Dec. 19-20, and featured four teams from three sections.  Rye took on Northeastern Clinton Friday night, winning 10-1 before defeating Beekmantown 4-1 Saturday afternoon.

The team is now 5-1 on the season. Go Garnets!
