Rye City School District Celebrates National Principals Month

Rye City School District Celebrates National Principals Month

Throughout October, Rye City School District joins school communities across the country in recognizing National Principals Month and celebrating leaders who help shape the experiences of students, staff and families each day.

Principals play a central role in bringing a school community together. From supporting teaching and learning and fostering welcoming school environments to collaborating with educators, communicating with families and helping students navigate their educational journeys, their leadership touches nearly every aspect of school life.

Across RCSD schools, each principal brings that leadership to a unique community:

Rye High School: Andrew Hara

Rye Middle School: Nicholas “Nick” Clair

Midland School: James “Jim” Boylan

Milton School: Annemarie “Annie” Piekarski

Osborn School: Angela Garcia

Their work also helps bring The Rye Commitment to life throughout the district. By creating environments where students are encouraged to think critically, communicate effectively, build meaningful relationships and grow as learners and individuals, Rye’s principals help ensure the district’s shared vision is reflected in students’ everyday experiences.

While much of the principal’s work happens behind the scenes, its impact can be seen throughout the school day, from the classrooms and hallways to schoolwide events and connections with families. Their leadership helps establish the culture and sense of community that allow students and staff to learn, collaborate and thrive.

During National Principals Month, the district extends its appreciation to Andrew Hara, Nick Clair, Jim Boylan, Annie Piekarski and Angela Garcia for their leadership, dedication and continued commitment to their school communities.
