  • Travel Reminder for Upcoming Long Weekend

    A reminder to our families who may be traveling over the long weekend: according to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 205, a 14-day quarantine may be required upon your return to New York. The list of restricted states was updated on September 22; please check the COVID-19 NYS Travel Advisory for the most up-to-date list.

  • Open Campus for Juniors

    As we continue to review and refine our procedures, we are prepared to bring back another fan favorite. Beginning this Thursday, September 24th, we will be reinstating our open campus policy for juniors.

  • RCSD Student Remote Learning Expectations

  • In-Person Services for Students with IEPs or 504 Plans

    As planned, we will begin to offer special education and 504-related services in person beginning on Monday, September 21.

    We have now successfully completed our first full week of hybrid learning. Familiar daily routines are starting to solidify while the new procedures and protocols necessary for health and safety are in place and running smoothly.

    I hope everyone's school year is off to a positive start; it's been wonderful to finally meet our students and begin putting some faces (or more accurately, parts of faces) to the names. While this is an exciting time, we at the school know all too well that it is also a stressful one for our seniors as they finalize their college applications.

  • PSAT Administration

    On Wednesday, October 14th, Rye High School will administer the PSAT to all 11th grade students. The test will begin at 8:00am, and students will be excused from their morning classes.

  • Update on Schedule Add/Drops

    As you know, last week we announced a temporary freeze on any add/drops to student schedules. Since that time, we have been able to update the rosters in all of our classes for both our group A and group B students.

    It's been wonderful to see and welcome so many of our students back to school this week. As we settle into the new normal, we are continuing the cherished tradition of allowing seniors to sign out of the building both during their free periods and lunch.

    I hope all is well. Today was a great first day of the 2020-2021 school year. While we had a few bumps in the road with students accessing Google Classroom or Google Meet sessions, the technology team is confident that we have ironed out these issues.

    The District is requiring families to complete a COVID-19 screening assessment with a temperature check and to fill out a health assessment form for every student who is entering one of the District’s school buildings.
