RCSD Food Service Information
September 9, 2020
Dear RCSD Parents and Guardians,
The District is gearing up its food service operations and is looking forward to serving your students high-quality, nutritious, healthy and well-balanced meals. Due to COVID-19, food service operations will be very different this year. Please find detailed information below and, as always, feel free to reach out with any questions to the District’s Director of Food Service, Ms. Stacey Falcone, at email@example.com or 914-967-6100, Ext. 2970.
RMS and RHS
Food service at the Middle and High School cafeterias will begin on Thursday, September 10. The cafeterias will be open daily from 7:30 AM-1:00 PM for breakfast and lunch. Students may purchase pre-boxed “grab and go” hot or cold meals at the High School and Middle School cafeterias; no food stations or bars will be in use. Students may wait in line to purchase food, or they can pre-order meals for faster service. All students will have assigned lunch seating in either a cafeteria or a classroom and will be seated spaced 6 feet apart. Middle School lunch location assignments are listed in PowerSchool student schedules. High School students eat in the main gym (9th grade), the PAC (10th grade), or the PAC stage, Chorus Room, Media Center, and Cafeteria (11th grade) or in supervised outside courtyards, weather permitting. As in years past, seniors are allowed to leave campus for their lunch period. The District will consider extending the option to leave campus to juniors in the future should all go well. Menus are available to view and food may be pre-ordered via the Nutrislice app.
Due to the half-day schedule at the elementary schools, there is no lunch service at Midland, Milton, or Osborn School this fall. Elementary students who would like to purchase lunch may pick up “grab and go” meals at Rye Middle School. A special food service pick-up window is located at the MS main entrance. Menus are available to view and food may be pre-ordered via the Nutrislice app.
For health and sanitation reasons, the District’s cafeteria personnel cannot accept cash or checks this year. All food service transactions must be via the MySchoolBucks app or the electronic pin pads at the cafeteria registers; pin pads will be sanitized frequently. Parents should fund meals via the MySchoolBucks app or send check or money orders to the Food Service Department care of the Food Service Department, Rye High School, 1 Parsons Street, Rye, NY 10580. For payment questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

Thank you, and have a terrific start to the school year.
