As part of its 1:1 program, Rye Middle School will be providing a Chromebook, charger, and case to all students. Starting this Thursday and Friday, we are asking parents/guardians to come during a designated time slot to pick up their child’s device. The pickup location will be determined later this week; an email will be sent as soon as we know the location.
Unfortunately, due to shipping delays, not all of our Acer Touch Screen Chromebooks have arrived. At this time, some students will receive Hewlett Packard Chromebooks to start off the school year. The HP Chromebooks differ from the Acer Chromebooks in that they do not have a touch screen; students will maneuver using a touchpad. Other than that, functionality is the same. When the shipment of Acer Chromebooks arrives, the District will swap out the devices when students are at school.
When picking up the device, we ask that all individuals wear a mask and practice proper social distancing. To limit the number of individuals entering the school, we are asking for only one member per household to enter with the completed documents linked below.
